Carlisle Arts Fair, 30th - 31st August 2014

I am really looking forward to my next event. Its a brand new event to my home town here in Carlisle. Carlisle Arts Fair at The Sands Centre, Carlisle, Cumbria. Saturday 30th - Sunday 31st August 2014. 10am - 4pm, £2 entry. It was also lovely to have received one of The Sands Centre's e-newsletter with a little mention. My trip to York

Last week as a birthday treat I visited York. I had such a lovely time walking around in awe of all the beautiful 'oldie worldie' buildings and streets. I also visited one of my stockists, Fairfax House and spied one of my porcelain tea pot decorations in their window display. The sun was shining which made it even more special.

Lanercost Priory and Potfest in the Pens 2014

Well two of my Summer events are over. Here are a few snaps I took of my stands,

The Lanercost 10 day Annual Summer Craft Fair, Dacre Hall, Lanercost Priory, Cumbria.

and Potfest in the Pens. It was my fourth year at both events and lovely to be apart of them as always.

Every year a competition sponsored by Craft and Design magazine is held in the pens. Each exhibitor is invited to create a special piece to be shown in the first hall. This year's competition theme was 'Lanterns, Lamps and Candelabras' and here is my entry titled 'The Light Houses'. I have never had the chance to create something for the competition as I always seem to run out of time but it was a lovely opportunity to come up with idea's and create something completely different working to a particular theme.

 

Thank you to everyone that visited both events and braved the rain at the weekend. I am very much looking forward to doing it all again next year!
